We started early in Melbourne, we had to be at the meeting point shortly after seven. We had a warm sandwich at the market and then we were ready to go. The bus arrived on time and once everyone had been collected in the city, we set off in the direction of the Great Ocean Road. The driver warned us that the whole round trip was around 600 kilometres. After two hours, we reached the monument to the construction of the road.
The road winds along the coast with countless bends, heading west. A stop at the Koala Café resulted in a nice parakeet photo. At midday we reach Appolo Bay, a small town with many restaurants and a long beach. We continue on to the 12 Apostles, limestone rocks that rise out of the water, but the next stop, Loch Ard Gorge, is even more impressive. Yes, and then back to Melbourne.

Instead of the hidden koalas, a beautiful Pennant parakeet showed up.

By the way, Apple has a new function in photos where plants, animals and places can be determined, whenever there are stars on the ℹ️ there is additional information. That's how we know it's a parakeet😜. And yes, the Sony RX 10 iv takes great pictures at a focal length of 600 mm and is still razor sharp out of the hand.
