Today we are travelling to the north of Auckland, before we go to the Waitomo Caves.
A limestone cave with a sky of glowworms. We didn't take any photos, but they sell photomontages. Then we drove for 5 hours to Whangārei on the coast, where the journey is the destination, sometimes up, sometimes down, everything from small country roads to four-lane motorways. Now it's time to rest.

Whangārei
After passing Auckland, we arrive tired at our accommodation (with a great view) at dusk and soon fall into a comfortable bed. The view here is supposed to be great.
We wake up in the morning to thick fog, which fortunately soon clears.

The view from the breakfast table is very nice.

And then another rainbow... priceless, on closer inspection there are actually two.

We had the best meal in New Zealand at the TopSail restaurant and also happened to meet our landlady Leeann.
