Likuri Island is one of the few places in Fiji where they also offer shows and activities. Day tourists come and many guests also come for the evening show. Here they are called "Family". As guests of the resort, we can choose what we want to participate in or watch repeatedly.
Fishing on the beach with the net
After three rounds in the water, we caught about 10 kg of fish. Then we grilled it and enjoyed it with fresh coconut water, lemon and salt.

Snorkelling
We also took part in the snorkelling, but it was nothing special by our standards. No corals, so not much fish, a few lobsters, that's all there was.

Bags weaving and jewellery from coconut

There was still crab cooking, palm climbing, dance school and much more, it doesn't get boring here.

Lovo
Lovo is the name for cooking on hot stones. The stones are heated and then the food, wrapped in aluminium foil, is placed on top, covered with palm leaves and a tarpaulin, then sand on top and the oven is ready.

Island acquaintances
There were our room neighbours, Jenny and Brad, whom we will visit in Brisbane. Unfortunately, we were already in Adelaide, because we would have liked to see Lara and Shane again. It was fun and entertaining, we immediately got along well and laughed a lot. And then there was Kava, the drink of the Fijians. Kava is made with the powder from the root of a pepper plant and cold water, has a calming effect and is drunk instead of alcohol. When singing with a guitar, a coconut shell is filled and drunk empty in one go.
