In the morning we have toast with egg and toast with butter and honey, the tea is nice and sweet and energises us for the day. We leave the Swiss Heritage Hotel, which has nothing to do with Switzerland by the way, but it is in a good location. It's a three-hour drive to Kuala Lumpur, when we arrive we are hungry and eat at Banana Leaf. We have rice and chicken curry served on a banana leaf.
We then visit the Raaj Tea Palace, which is a branch of Raaj, our tour guide. Of course Markus has a few suggestions for improvement. The tea is very good, Sylvia challenges the staff with a coffee with almond milk. Afterwards we go to the hotel, we have a great room on the 33a floor, there are no 14, which is bad luck with the Chinese. The rooftop on the 51st floor is amazing, with a view of the Petronas Twin Towers. In the evening we go on a tour of KL. A beautiful Hindu temple is not to be missed, it is very crowded at prayer time and it is pouring with rain. Our rooftop is also very nice at night and we go to bed early. Well rested, we look for a place for breakfast. We find what we're looking for at Halifa Maju, where they serve tea and roti telur, which is roti with an egg in the centre. Costs 2.50 chf per person with tea.

RAAJ TEA PALACE

In Raaj Tea Palace, Raaj shows us his tea café, which he has leased to a franchiser. It's a nice tea shop with lots of tea specialities and small dishes. A good idea for the local clientele.

Apartment house

As in all big cities, hotels in Kuala Lumpur are very expensive, even by Asian standards. That's why we opted for a flat. Not far from the Twin Towers with a spectacular roof terrace. For less than 60 Fr per night.

In the evening we meet up again and go to evening prayers in a temple, which is full to bursting and it is pouring with rain. After dinner, we enjoy the view again and fall tired into our comfortable beds.

Breakfast at the Indian restaurant

Today we need a good refreshment before we climb the many steps.
