The sunrise over the hills of the rainforest is very beautiful, it is still very quiet at 7am. The sun comes out and it suddenly gets warmer. The first thing we do is visit a strawberry farm and marvel at the plantations, all of which have a sunshade over the fields to prevent the plants from burning. We continue on to a lavender farm, which also has other flower fields. We really like the Mona lavender. The journey continues through the rainforest, passing simple wooden huts belonging to the local people who sell honey by the roadside to make ends meet.
Once we arrive in Ipoh, we first have chapati, which are freshly made and taste wonderful, served with chopped chicken, a curry and dal (lentils). Indian clothes are also sold and Sylvia buys two new outfits very cheaply. In a small alley. There are lots of shops in a small alley and Sylvia gets stuck on a small green bag, which she also takes with her. After a short rest in the room, we continue on, we want to take a look at the streets with the many murals, and not far away we can also see the old railway station, which is still in operation. The first government building is currently being renovated, but is still in operation and is used for issuing business licences. For dinner, we have a Chinese soup cooked with pork and braised pork, which would be ragout here. A short walk along the river and then back to the hotel. The KL Harley Club is still out for an evening tour. An eventful day comes to an end and we sleep soundly. Tomorrow we visit the Chinese temples in Ipoh before travelling on to Penang.

After the marvellous sunrise, we first go to the strawberry farm for a cup of tea and a few strawberries. Of course, Raaj makes a promotional video for the strawberry farmer, who of course also runs a shop and a café. The farm is huge and covered with tarpaulins to protect it from the sun and birds.

We continue to the lavender farm, where there is little lavender and lots of other flowers that we only have in winter.

On the way, a traditional little village with houses on stilts.

We arrive in Ipoh by lunchtime, so we've earned some refreshments. Great authentic roti at the Indian restaurant.

Shopping.... and bought two dresses.

Street art in Ipoh, incredibly beautiful.

The old railway station is still in operation, the government building is currently being renovated and we had a delicious dinner at a Chinese restaurant. Afterwards, a short visit to the river, but there was already nothing going on.
