Arrived

Ok, it was a long journey... we left Zurich on Thursday lunchtime for Singapore. We landed early Friday morning and took off again for Manado at 9.30am.

Yes, travelling has become different, already in the preparation phase, insurance certificates had to be obtained, vaccination certificates uploaded, the Covid app from Indonesia downloaded, return flight tickets printed and the hotel confirmation was also a must. Fortunately, they haven't had to do the PCR test for a week now. The entry process was correspondingly long because the whole thing still had to be checked. So 1st station Visa on Arrival, Covid check with temperature control, and then the immigration officer. After around an hour, the whole procedure was over and our driver was already waiting for us. The journey then took us over some very bad roads to the northernmost point of North Sulawesi, another 90 minutes later we were at the boat and were able to enjoy the 30-minute boat trip in calm seas.
