We leave Hobart for the east coast and drive to Swansea, a small, tranquil town near the Freycinet National Park. The Tasman Highway A3 takes us to our first stop, the Spiky Bridge. We drive past Swansea for the time being.

The first vantage point at Devil's Corner Outlook with a view of the bay is already a small impression of what is to come.

The journey continues into Freycinet National Park, where you must have a park pass, which we have already booked in advance. Our destination is the Wineglas Bay viewpoint. We parked the car and set off, and yes, it's a 200 metre climb, actually a long flight of steps. But the view of the two beeches is great.

We move into our accommodation in Swansea, a small cottage right next to the jetty. We have a T-bone steak from the pig, wonderful.
