When we looked outside today, there was thick fog. First we did some shopping and waited to see what the weather would do. The sun comes out and we make our way to the viewpoint, which is very close to our accommodation. And as you can see, you can't see anything at first and we go back into the warmth. At 3pm the sun comes out, so we set off again and behold, top views. The Blue Mountains get their name from the eucalyptus forests, the essential oils from the leaves evaporate and give the area a bluish glow in the right daylight. But we didn't see it.

Scenic World

is the name given to the combination of two cable cars and a funicular railway. The unlimited day ticket was available for the equivalent of CHF 30. We are early and first take the cable car over the gorge and then the other one down into the valley. There are various circular routes here, all of which end at the funicular railway. We then cross the gorge again and walk back.
