We are now members of the Swiss Club in Mauritius. On Sunday we had a lovely brunch in beautiful Port Chambly. We still need to practise our French to improve our communication. The club always organises events where we meet up on the beach for a BBQ. Ruedi and Sheila do a great job, Ruedi always informs us in the WhatsApp group when something important happens.
Visiting friends
Our CH-DE troupe was visiting, Birgit, Linda, Uwe and Mike came with lots of presents and of course bread and salt, thank you very much. We had small aperitif rolls, even with pretzels 😅, fish with spinach and egg, for the main course: fillet of beef, herb butter with chips from the airfryer (worked well...) and for dessert, slices of pancake with apple sauce.
Carnival in Basel
It's carnival time in Basel, and we've been having carnival soup and carnival witches. We enjoyed the Morgestraich and of course the Guggekonzärt d'Räpplispalter. Schitzelbängg until we waved goodbye. Many thanks for the impressions we got from all the sites.
Tropical Storm Eleanor
This storm season is now the third storm to hit our region. Fortunately, Eleonor has not developed into a cyclone. It comes very close to the east coast, but does not hit the island. Tonight it will be gone again and move further south-east.
