We started early in Melbourne, we had to be at the meeting point shortly after seven. There was a warm sandwich at the market, then we were ready to go. The bus arrived on time and after everyone was collected in the city, we set off towards the Great Ocean Road. The whole round trip is about 600 km the driver warned us in advance. After two hours we reached the monument for the construction of the road.
The road winds its way along the coast with countless curves, heading west. The stop at the Koala Café brought a nice parakeet photo. At noon we reach Appolo Bay, a small town with many restaurants and a long beach. We continue to the 12 apostles, limestone rocks that protrude from the water, but almost even more impressive is the next station Loch Ard Gorge, where nature has done a great job. Yes and then the whole thing back to Melbourne.
Instead of the hidden koalas, a beautiful pennant parakeet has appeared.
