Diwali

Diwali is the festival of lights of the Budists, something like Christmas with us. The house is cleaned, new clothes are bought and of course, many lights decorate the house. It sparkles and glitters on many houses. Of course, gifts should not be missing.
We were invited to Birgit and Uwe’s, but first things first.

Rooftop Sunset Party

Sweta, the daughter of Raj, our German-speaking tour guide, is in training in the hotel industry. The trainees had the task of organizing a rooftop sundowner party. Each student had to organize some guests. Raj asked us if we wanted to come and that’s when we met Birgit and Uwe. We got along very well right away, so it happened that they invited us to Diwali.

Pool Party

Uwe has set up his complete DJ system in the garden, with a light show, what a huge effort! It looked really great. The sound is really good and the music selection is great!
Linda from here and Mike from Hamburg were also there. There were sausages and meatballs with pasta salad, salad from Linda and bread from Markus. For dessert there was a Saxon egg snail and a Swiss apple tart. Drinks were also provided, so we were well taken care of.
It was a great evening with nice company, good food and the best light and sound. More is not possible. Many thanks to Birgit and Uwe for the huge effort.

And then the team from Bazar Cannonier spontaneously came by, we had a lot of fun.
Emilia wanted to order bread right away, which Markus gratefully declined, we agreed that we would do a training course. Somehow the group has a running gag with Birgit and Uwe, it’s about chocolate beef…. Markus then explained that years ago we got a chocolate menu in Switzerland at the Waldstätter Hof, with beef fillet and a demi ice cream flavored with cocoa and that’s when the idea of a baking and cooking session was born. It remains exciting…
