The day starts with Chinese breakfast’s TV, it doesn’t come any other than with us, war in the Middle East and our colleague with the red tie,

Last day in Tibet. We visit the Tashi Lhunpo Monastery. It was built by the first Dalai Lama. We were not even aware of that. In one of the many houses stands the Maitreya Buddha or in German, Buddha of the future. It is 26.2 meters high and it is gilded with 280 kilos of gold. Extremely imposing, you almost get a stiff neck when you want to look him in the face. Everything is decorated in such detail, you don’t have much time to admire everything. In another house there is the Stuba of the tenth Panchen Lama which is extremely magnificently worked. The Stuba of the 1st Dalai Lama, on the other hand, is modest, but much more impressive. The pictures show the beautiful building and how lovingly it is restored everywhere. It was worth every step it went up. A really great end to our Tibet trip.
Now we have a hot sweet tea and then it’s off to the airport. Thank you dear Alex for this great company these days, the detailed explanations and the many beautiful moments.

Now we are waiting for the plane, because actually there should be boarding now. But we got a burger, which was good again. The delay was only half an hour. Well then, let’s go. We are picked up at the airport in Chengdu and taken to the Dorsett Hotel.
Move once and go out again to eat something small, *broad grin* as if that’s possible in China. There is always more than enough. We find a restaurant that doesn’t offer a hotpot. Well, the translation on the mobile phone via a picture is almost useless, because the font of the translation is very small. We still got something. Only when they here in the Szechuan region say it’s spicy, you can believe it. So next time it’s better to say “wēi là” a bit spicy. You don’t stop learning.
We are extremely happy that we survived the extreme altitude so well, so we can toast with a Chinese beer.
Das sind mal wirklich Gegensätze die beiden Länder | oder halt neu Teile eines Landes 🙂 superschöne und eindrückliche Bilder die ihr da mache konntet 🙂
