Today we didn't leave so early and were able to have a cosy breakfast in the Little Bird Café, a great place and always equally good.

First we travelled from Perth to Lancelin on our bus.
On the west coast facing the Indian Ocean, there are lots of sand dunes and it's in the middle of nowhere. Another detour to Hangover Bay before we drove to Namburg National Park to see the Pinnacles.

Namburg National Park Pinnacles

We arrive at the Pinnacles just in time for sunset. The limestone rock formations are spread over a huge area and change colour with the sunlight. The formations stand in a shifting dune of quartz sand and are between 500,000 and 50,000 years old.
We were pretty much the last ones in the park, and after sunset we had a picnic under the stars in the middle of the desert.
It was a blast! On the way back, the first kangaroo jumped in front of the bus - you really can't have more in one day.
