The third largest island in Australia is 150 km from Adelaide, so we had a lot of bus travel ahead of us. Very early at 06.15 a.m. we had to trot to the Central Bus Station, because there is no bus so early on Sunday, just by taxi. After all the sheep were collected, we started. The way to the pier where the ferry to Kangaroo Island departs was varied, hilly, sometimes along the coast. The ferry leaves punctually at 09.00. On the way to the pier we saw whole herds of Kangaroos again and again, but not on the island.
Everything was well organized as always, the bus that drove us around the island was ready and we went to the first stop at the sea lions at Seal Bay Conservation Park. We were accompanied by a ranger and could walk to within a few meters of the animals on the beach.
Now we go all the way to the south of the island to the Remarkable Rocks, the granite shimmers in a wide variety of colors, wind and weather have distinctively deformed the stone. Not far away, the cave Admirals Arch has been ground out by the water. Afterwards there is a refreshment in the restaurant in the middle of nowhere.

In the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park the time has come, the kangaroos and the koalas are waiting for us, the enclosures are open, the animals are used to humans and can be petted for food, if you add 15 AD you get the koala in your arms, which fortunately no one in the group took advantage of. So the animals could comfortably chew on their eucalyptus leaves.
The way back was of course the same length as the outward journey in the morning, shortly before midnight we arrived in Adelaide tired and with many new impressions.
