Sydney

From the Blue Mountain we drive directly to the beach of Coogee Beach, where we happen to meet Stephan from Seedamm Plaza. We got a lot of tips for the north, thank you very much.

Afterwards we drive to the airport and return the rental car, Uber takes us to our apartment. We live in Potts Point, a nice residential area, only 30 minutes walk to the Opera House. Now we make ourselves comfortable and tomorrow we start exploring Sydney.

With the Hop-On Hop-Off bus we first drive the whole loop to get an overview. Then we drive again to the Opera House. It is a really impressive building. We book a concert by, YB, a Korean rock band that will play in the big concert hall. There is a sunset aperitif with the harbor bridge in the background, uniquely beautiful.

Day 2 in Sydney

So many impressions from yesterday still reverberate, many times you have seen the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge on TV and now, when you have it in front of you, it is very impressive. Again we take the tourist bus and drive to the fish market.

The fish market

Here you can find everything the sea has to offer, we can’t get out of our amazement. 45 kg of tuna and several. With so much choice, there is a second breakfast with oysters, swordfish and tuna, which tastes best raw and freshly cut.

The Chinese Garden

In the middle of Sydney, there is an oasis of silence where you can take a breather.

The Harbour Bridge

Built in 1932 with 8 vehicle tracks plus train tracks, an imposing building. 3000 workers built it. In one of the pillars, a platform can be reached via 200 steps, with a gigantic view.

The next day takes us to Saint Mary’s Cathedral, Archibald Memorial Fountain, Hyde Park, Queen Victoria Building and then to the Sydney Tower Eye where we go to lofty heights.
