Litchfield National Park

In Batchelor Holliday Park we got a place with our own shower and toilet. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the area. There is a lot to see here even without 4WD.

Magnetic Termite Mounts

Huge termite burrows can be admired here, unbelievable what such small animals can do.

Tolmer Falls

It’s a well-developed destination, and if you can read, it’s also well labeled. Today we decided to take the longer route and because it was supposedly short, we didn’t take any water with us.
Well… It was very hot today and we arrived back at the camper soaking wet. Now take the short way to the viewing platform and enjoy the view of the endless expanses.

Wangi Falls

After the sweating, the huge natural pool comes just in time, the shower under the waterfall was wonderful. And because it is so big, the many visitors did not bother us. A nice place to linger.

Florence Falls

The cooling off has done us good and we continue to the Florence Falls. The signpost shows the way with 450m and 135 steps down to the pool. It has become even warmer now… here Sylvia also enjoys the waterfall shower and we let ourselves drift with our pool noodles, it is a pleasure. The way back goes over a shady path along the stream, butterflies accompany us on the way back. The thermometer now shows 39.5 °C and we enjoy the air conditioning in our vehicle. Today is Friday! So we have steak and red wine in the outback, what a day comes to an end.
