Maybe our container is on it?

Today we were already on the road at 8 a.m. We had to be in Port Louis at 09:30, the appointment at customs was postponed three times, but today was the day of the days. Swiss exactly and because you can never really estimate the traffic to Port Louis, we added 20 minutes. Google Maps then adjusted the time on the way from time to time and from just on time to 25 minutes earlier everything was there. In the end we were there at 9.15 a.m. without complications. The agent from the shipping company arrived with Mauritian punctuality at 9:40 a.m. and greeted us friendly.

Immediately we went to the customs officer, the documents were prepared, we only had to sign. After all copies were compared with the originals, we could start. One of the three sewing machines was too much. The VAT now has to be paid for this, which doesn’t cost the whole world. The whole thing went quickly and we were out again after a good 20 minutes.
The container ship is supposed to arrive today and we should get our belongings delivered in about a week.

We continue into the city, or to the Caudan Waterfront, where you can park well and cheaply. 4 hours for 2 Fr. and only 10 minutes walk from the city center.

Yesterday March 12 was still a national holiday, so the umbrellas are hung up in the national colors. A lot of excitement here, because a delegation of the Indian government is still on a state visit and they are going shopping here.

Now let’s have a leisurely café, chat a little and watch the goings-on in the harbor, oops, it’s just before noon. We want to go to the Ocean Basket, there is good fish, who do we meet? Hartmut Sieper and Maria with customers, after a short chat we let them discuss their business matters, we have to go on to our bank.
We can now have our accounts transferred from “foreigner” to “resident”. There is also a credit card and again one of the administrative tasks is done.
