The journey is the destination, so we make our way to Asia. It was a small annoyance for Markus that he only found out after booking, from the flight with the Emirates, that our Air Mauritius flies directly to Kuala Lumpur and we could have saved ourselves the way via Dubai. Well, for another time, if we want to go to this area, we know the option.
So we flew from Mauritius to Dubai in the late afternoon, both flights with an A380 (still a great plane, still enough space even in the wooden class). Thanks to our bank in Mauritius we now enjoy the Mastercard Travel Pass and can spend waiting times in the lounge.

Arrived in Singapore we have left a suitcase in the storage and now travel on with “light” luggage. By train we continue to Singapore in the city, or to Chinatown. The train costs just Fr. 1.67 for almost an hour ride. You don’t need to buy a ticket. Just hold out your credit card and it will be charged at the exit, it can be that easy.

Our hotel, the Kinn Studios, is on the edge of Chinatown and we walk through the busy neighborhood to the Maxwell Food Center. A paradise for food lovers. Actually, it is almost impossible to make a choice. We then decided on the Shanghai dumplings and the spicy sour soup, a good choice. There was refreshing tiger beer with it. A long day comes to an end and we sleep wonderfully.
