Today the plan is to explore the landscape of the li river, on the 20 yuen note, we already have the party headquarters in Beijing, which is pictured on the 100 and also the Potala Monastery in Lhasa from the 50, the moonstones on the 1 note we have also seen, only the area of the 5 note we have not seen.
At 8 o’clock we continue again. The trip to the ship terminal takes just under an hour. The sun is shining and it is supposed to be nice and warm. And of course we are not alone again. Up to 5,000 tourists sail along the Li River every day. So that’s about 40 ships. But with this very good organization everything goes very fast here. We sit comfortably on the 2nd floor together with a couple from the Philippines.

The great landscape was not long in coming. On the 3rd deck you have a great view. Really beautiful rock formations appear. Ma tells us about long noses that rise into the sky, sitting Buddhas, horses on a rock face… see for yourself. What a beautiful landscape, the sun is shining and it is getting warmer, just wonderful.
Suddenly it gets nervous, the formation that is depicted on the 20 yen note appears.
For lunch there is a warm box with rice, corn, chicken and beef.
And so 3.5 hours pass and we arrive in Yangshuo. A city that lives 90% from tourism. There is no industry here. Many restaurants, bars and small shops. Sylvia finds a special handbag and gets a lot of inspiration for next projects. We stroll through the pedestrian zone and then drive to the Hotel Yangshuo Tea Cozy.
It is located outside the city very quiet and picturesque in nature with a view of the rice plantations. Actually, we were supposed to ride our bikes for another 2-3 hours, but we decided to have a coffee on the terrace. We feel very comfortable, the mood of the staff is just wonderful. Our room is on the 5th floor tastefully rustic and has a balcony

The food in the hotel is good and we have a cozy evening on the terrace, there was even a bottle of red wine from Chile, which was surprisingly good and not so expensive at about Fr 40. We already know the cucumber salad from our Chinese restaurant in Belle Mare and it was also very good here.
