In the Marlborough area, Blenheim is the starting point, there are a lot of large wineries here. The very large steel vats make the charm of a winery fade a bit. It’s clear here, there’s not much going on here, they all want to cart you to the wineries. On the way to Greymouth, we drove left and right past vines for almost an hour, almost like in the Bordeaux area.
Our first earthquake at 11 p.m. with a magnitude of 4.1 at a distance of 18 km and a depth of 31 km was very well felt. It wobbled briefly and violently.

On Sunday better weather is forecast and we drive to the Marlborough Sounds, on the Queen Charlotte Drive from Havelock to Picton. Very nice view of the Sounds if you move a little.
In Picton the ferry goes to Wellington, there is a foccacia sandwich and a chat at Pesche, a Bernese who has been here since 1997.

The journey into the past
In the travel planning, after our trip to Fichi, the trip to the Cook Islands is planned, so far so good. We leave on June 29 and two hours later we are already there. But the flight takes almost 4 hours. Something is wrong here. After checking several times, it is clear where the mistake is. Rarotonga is 22 hours behind New Zealand time. Aha, there was something with a date line, you should have been more careful at school. So we need a night from 28 to 29.6 in New Zealand and on Rarotonga again, so the stay starts again on 28.6. You have to figure it out first. On the way back the same thing again, in the other direction we travel into the future.
