Then the path leads us further into the mountains, the Cameron Highlands are the destination for today. On the way we eat in a rest stop for locals, it was quite funny, of course we were the only Europeans. The food was surprisingly good and the selection was huge. It is already late afternoon when we arrive at about 1600m. Huge tea plantations, vegetable fields and the big attraction here are the strawberries. Completely different temperatures than in KL, it is pleasantly cool, for dinner we needed a thin jacket.

The drive from Kuala Lumpur to the Cameron Highlands is long and winding, as it goes up to 1600 m. But on the way we got hungry and thirsty, so we had something to eat.
